The Centre for Structural Medicine
The Johannesburg Centre for Structural Medicine uses alternate neuromusculoskeletal approaches to healthcare in which treatment in mediated through the soft and connective tissues of the body. Our approach combines chiropractic and osteopathic principles with acupoint theory and aims to correct mechanical and neural dysfunction.
Each individual treatment is based on holistic appreciation of the systems of the body as well as its complex interrelationships and is intended to stimulate and facilitate the body's innate, natural capacity to self regulate and heal.
Treatment is robust enough to benefit the professional athlete or sportsman but is also suitable for the elderly, frail, children and for the duration of pregnancy.

Nico Otto Biokineticist
I studied B.Sc Biokinetics at the University of Zululand and graduated in 2010 and completed my internship in 2011. Over the past 5 years I gained a lot of experience working with a wide range of patients in the private practice. After 3 years practicing as a Biokineticist I became the owner of Nico Otto Biokineticist in 2015.
My special skills and interests include Chronic Disease Management, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Sport Injury Prevention. Another passion of mine is working with the elderly, therefore I helped forming a 'wellness club’ at a retirement village. Once a week I manage and assist the residents with exercise programmes and classes.
